Why did you start this watch-collecting site?
I’ve always been passionate about watches—especially the intricate details and legacy they hold. However, when I began collecting, I noticed a lack of in-depth, accessible information out there, particularly on certain under-the-radar brands like Vacheron. This site is my way of filling that gap, documenting my journey, and hopefully helping others discover and appreciate these mechanical marvels.

Who do you hope to reach with your content?
While anyone curious about watches is welcome, I especially want to connect with this new wave of fellow millennials and new collectors. I remember feeling overwhelmed by all the choices and unsure of where to turn for trustworthy advice. My aim is to simplify the learning curve, share my experiences, and provide insights I wish I had when I started.

How do you avoid dishonest or unreliable watch dealers?
It boils down to research and community connections. Always verify a dealer’s reputation via forums, online reviews, or references from other collectors. Ask detailed questions, request high-quality photos, and never rush into a purchase if something feels off. It’s amazing how often a quick search on known collector sites or social media groups can reveal red flags—or, more positively, confirm legitimacy.

Why is Vacheron such a big focus for you?
For me, Vacheron Constantin represents an underappreciated corner of horological history that deserves more spotlight. Their craftsmanship and heritage are top-tier, yet the broader collector community doesn’t discuss them as much as some other brands. I’m hoping to shine a bit more light on these incredible timepieces, spark conversation, and gather resources for anyone interested.

Will your sons be forced to inherit your watch obsession?
They’ll inherit the watches, sure—but as for the obsession, that’s up to them! My goal is simply to pass along the knowledge and appreciation for the artistry. If they choose to embrace it, that’s fantastic. If not, at least they’ll understand why Dad spent so many late nights scrolling through watch forums. And who knows? Maybe they’ll end up loving them even more than I do!
